The Banner Engineering K50R R-GAGE radar sensors, now available at Mouser, are among the most cost-effective industrial radar products on the market, requiring significantly less operating power than other radar sensors. The K50R sensors operate reliably in a -40ºC to 60º temperature range and are highly resistant to ambient weather conditions, including rain, snow, fog, and direct sunlight. The K50R series features 40º x 30º models that closely match ultrasonic performance and 80º x 60º models that offer broader coverage over a larger area. Dual discrete outputs allow for multiple detection zones, while the Pulse Frequency Modulated output provides real-time distance measurements.

The K50R R-GAGE radar sensors are easy to integrate and configure, featuring Banner Measurement Sensor software, as well as base and flush mount housing accessories for different installation requirements. The K50R sensors also include built-in indication using Banner's trademark LED technology. The Standard models provide presence-absence indication, while the Pro models can display complex colors and animations such as target presence-absence, warning zone indication, or real-time measurement feedback. The K50R series can be used to detect parking spot availability, prevent mobile robot collisions, or measure tank levels in a car wash.
